This is a letter I wrote to a good friend of mine that sometimes I truly hate.
This person gave me investment advice that I did not want to take, but being in a relationship with this person, and just taking the fact that she makes 300k+ a year, I took it, not following the basic instinct of listening to my guts.

Awesome weather, eh?
Okay, the reason of this message is to share with you a thought. I have to warn you that I might be wrong in one or more things, but as you know, I have a different way to see things.
Well, bank.
Planes bank, you know, when doing a sharp turn? There is a phrase that say -if I am not wrong-:" You can always bank on education."
Well, while driving my truck, I have lots of time to think, because I am using only the 1% of my whole brain activity, nevertheless the rest of my brain is like...working in autopilot, computing all the things I input into it, like market news, and stuff.
Well, my always busy brain came up with this:
Bank: Where you have your safety net, in case you need to bank on it -like banking on education-, when your usual income decreases or stops, like on vacations, contractions, recessions, or.... depressions.
Well, this means -for my brain-, that we all are supposed to have a BANK, a safety net, a mine in reverse, or a ...reverse mine!!! [just came out with this!]. Love my brain.
We all have our chicken of golden eggs: It could be some money invested, our JOB, our career, our skills, or... ALL TOGETHER.
But as economy go like waves, and lately this waves are more like hurricane waves -just like our weather-, today we may have a job, or our golden eggs chicken, and tomorrow, nothing, nada , Zero, gone!
Because of this, we all are supposed to have a good bank, specially if we like spending a lot, or we have a high life level. On this BANK, not only the physical silver, gold, money, investments in India, or emerging countries, where economies are REAL economies, where credit is very restricted, and you own, what you really own, and you pay for what you really can pay financial services for. You need a plan B, a second income, or a route of escape.
Well, this principle my brain came up with, applies to micro economies, like ours, and macro economies, like big country economies.
I totally believe that we ALL should do anything China, or India does. I saw once on You Tube that China was encouraging people to buy silver and gold. I wonder why I didn't do it before, because yes, they were right.
Some time ago, maybe a year ago, China bought 200 tonnes of gold. Look at the price of gold today. Were they smart??? Yes, definitely.
Well, I think that we all should have our own bank, our own 'reverse mine' to bank on, so if the economy goes bad, like it is going to be going soon, we have a safety net to fall in to.
I look at the United States:
Their currency depends on how may oil transactions are done. Germans are smart, Germans got their Dollar Reserves turned into Gold years ago, because they know the Oil transactions will fade away with time.
So the American Dollar, eventually will fade, and will drag us Canadians with it, if we don't BANK, if we don't diversify, if we don't have our own mine, our stocks in India, Brazil, China, Russia.
Now, why Brazil, China, Russia, India?
The have human capital, lots of physicians -good ones!-, engineers, financial gurus, entrepreneurs. They have their reserves in Gold, and I bet, because I am not sure, almost Zero Debt.
The Dollar is changing to Gold, and it is doing it quietly, so the price doesn't rocket to 2500 per ounce. that's why you see that everybody is buying gold. The US government is buying gold too, but they are far far behind, like....200 meters under the sea : [
On top of that, they are into debt like 200 meters under the sea too. That is an impossible debt to pay, and yes, it is like they take us 200 meters under the sea level, and then they release us for us to try to reach the surface, ummm....very unlikely.
Now, add the billions and billions of dollars on consumer debt. This means, we have a huge bubble, a fake bubble with the 'Petrodollar', and on top of that, the huge debt in consumer debt, because ppl usually don't own anything, they do not have anything solid 'to bank on'. They just rent their lives. Stupid Joneses. Who wants to keep up with them? they are broke!-and unhappy-.
Because of this, my advice to you, and to everybody is to stop living la vida loca, and start paying debt, which I would call: "Reverse Investment" because the more you pay, the more money you get in your pocket, and then with the money saved on interest, invest in your own business to generate more revenue to pay more debt, and when we reach the point of debt free, aim at Gold -yes, because it will reach CND$2000+-, Silver, and investing in India, so I recommend you to talk to your connections on how to get to invest in India, before it is too late.
I will invest somewhere else, where I have contacts.
In the mean time, I will work overtime to pay debt, and invest in Silver and Gold, no matter if I have to literally sleep in my work place.
Remember, NOTHING IS AN ACCIDENT, and if you are reading this words, it is because you are meant to read them, and make changes in your crazy life style, and in your spending.
Remember too, that everything changes, everything ends.
I still remember you had just a J.O.B, 65k a year, and yes 65k a year are for me is just minimum wage, then you got this, but now....what's next?
So bank now, do the SHARP TURN, and get out of the stream the media wants you to be: Totally blinded on what is really going on, because Europe is Done. Italy, Greece, Portugal, Spain, all of them are done because of the irresponsible mishandling of their economies. They slept over their laurels, taking 'their incomes for granted', which is what we all do, and then spending like no tomorrow, then covering our eyes when the credit card bill arrives, avoiding the 'd' word, etc.
What have Europe to sell? Tourism. To who? Basically?....Americans. How are the Americans doing: They are done, 200 meters under the sea level, and what happens if Europe sinks too? The biggest [fake] economies will fall, and the only survivors will be the emerging economies, where your money ought to be.
Why Canadian Prime Minister Harper went to Brazil, Colombia, and Costa Rica?? Because he needs new, and more solid partners in commerce. Why the Western Alliance is looking to open doors with China?? Becuase the EEUU our main customer is bankrupt. Actually they are doing this kind of late, but well...at least they are doing it.
Play it safe.
Just look at me, Who on this planet saw this recession comming?
Okay, there was some ppl, and they screamed at us, but we never listened.
Now how I am?
Stuck, no way to do what I want to do, so play it safe, and if someone is saying:"The sky is falling!! the Sky is Falliing!!!!!".....Listen for Pete's sake, because like the tallest fighter hits the floor harder when he falls, the highly leveraged business just go 'poofff!' and disappear in the air!

I am Christian, not religious.
Because in my city, there are 4000+ men than women, the dating situation is a bit difficult for someone like me, who works lots, and have little time to socialize outside church.
Because of this, I decided to try online dating.
As a Christian wanna-be, I still call myself a Christian. Why wanna-be? Because even though I accepted Jesus, I still think I am not totally pure, plus I am not baptized yet. So, in my online profile, I talk about my believe, and Oh Surprise! A woman didn't want to start any kind of relationship with me because I was 'religious', well, I replied to her message like this, because being a Christian is not much different to being a non Christian:
I am Christian, not religious.
The difference is that we dress not very conservative, we fall, we have sex -premarital sex-, we talk about money, relationships, marriage, business, money -again-, etc, and....we dress hot -or at least w try-, we believe in physical attraction, in looking and smelling good, and casual conversations.
Religious is something different.
Religious is wearing long skirts, suits, women on one side of the church, men in the other, married ppl and families in the back.
Religious is not to drink coffee because the church said so, or not smoking, or living in poverty, with out the good things that GOD put on this planet for us, see?
We are normal ppl, just like you, but....we try not to fall, not to cut ppl off on the hwy, or not to hurt ppl, but we fail, and we fall. No we don't fall, WE CRASH AND BURN, and we sin, and we have a higher divorce rate than non Christians, so, we are more like black sheeps trying to rehab, but....we can't, cuz GOD made us by default prone to fall.

Weather: Our newest worst enemy.
Ahh, Summer!
I arrived from work, left the garage door open so the air from the hot pavement could exchange for the air of my cool basement.
All of the sudden, I hear like if the people upstairs is continuously dropping 'small' stuff in the kitchen floor.
I run upstairs to see what my undisciplined roommates are doing to find the nice surprise of hail falling like crazy on my backyard.
In the city I live, you can see cars covered on hail damage dots. Next reaction: "Cheese, my car!!"
I run downstairs, get my car keys, and run outside through the already open garage door. I get in the drivers seat, but..oh, my Bowflex is extended, my car would no fit.
I run to the Bowflex, put it on the storage position, and proceed to park my car.
The sudden hail storm in the middle of the Summer is not that intense to cause any damage to my vehicle, nevertheless, I reverse my car fast, broke a couple of plastic things, but that was it. My car was safe under a roof.
I immediately post on my Facebook the weather situation. A friend replied: "It's crazy!"
Yes it is. It is more than crazy, it is totally irrational, and unpredictable. Then I remember the CBC's noon show, where a 'Senior' Climatologist was talking about the weather in a way like he was paid not do show the real facts of our weather, the cold reality that it is going to lead us to a chaotic situation in our relationship with the Forces of Nature.
I wrote them a letter, and a great friend of mine like it so much that, that is the main reason to set this blog -which I always wanted to have-, so she can link it to 'her' blog, to remind everybody of why we should take drastic measures to stop wrecking an already unbalanced weather that in the future, it will disrupt not only our way of life, but our capacity to stay ....... alive, or should I say: "Safe in the air?".

It left me speechless the tranquility we talk about the weather, like:'Ooops, it is getting baadd!!'
The ice caps are melting. There was -or... there is??-, an iceberg of the size of a Caribbean Island around the East Coast of Canada, and you guys are like:"Mmmm...what a tricky weather!!"
To much moisture -water-, on the atmosphere, there are flooding everywhere, and I hear people on the CBC news saying:" I have never seen anything like this before".
Of course not!!! This is the first time that is happening, because it is the first time that there is so much water -from the ice caps-, melted everywhere. That water has to go somewhere, right?
Like is the first time a Storm downs one of the most sophisticated planes -remember Air France 447?-. The plane wasn't designed to face such storms, it's instruments failed, the plane went down in one uncontrollable piece. Being an aviation enthusiast, I can not imagine the powerless feeling of the pilots, being on the flight deck of a rock.
Now, remember Pakistan? Australia? Mexico!, string of tornadoes a weeks ago in the States, drought and famine in Africa? But......:"It is just crazy weather!"
Is all this water from the ice caps that is not on the sea flooding the lowest land levels beside the sea, it is on the atmosphere creating all this tornadoes, violent sudden storms, rain in a unprecedented way, drought before the floods, fires, First Nations evacuated by R.C.A.F. transport planes....come on! How can you guys take it so .... lightly?
I think that we are not going to be flooded and lose our coasts, or the coasts around the planet. I think we are going to be immersed in a chain of never ending storms, drought, tornadoes, fires, and to add insult to the injury: Earthquakes -just to put the icing over the cake : ] ,on top of that, add a couple of Tsunamis, etc. Total chaos and atmospheric unbalance.
We have destroyed the natural pattern of the weather, we destroy football fields of rainforest by the second, we drop tons of CO2 into the atmosphere at the same time; we do the line on the drive through with our vehicle, instead of doing the line where actually there is less people [Tim Horton's doesn't care, they will not make it faster], and it is faster doing the line on foot than in our domestic gas guzzlers, and you guy are talking about a weather quizzz?? give me a break!
If it is too cold in the winter, we make our inefficient homes warm and leave the doors and windows open, we overheat the planet. Then when it is too hot in the Summer, we turn on the air conditioning and sit on our leather Sofa. It is Summer! Take another short cold shower and dress lightly, and do not seat on the leather coach, or put a sheet on it, but cranking the air conditioning? We are just digging our own.....graves.
Maybe is because Alberta depends on Fossil Fuels to keep us on our huge homes -compared to the world median-, and our over sized vehicles -check car sizes in Europe, Australia, South America, Japan, etc-, and our frenzy for consumption, and waste, that it is why I think Media avoids pointing at the real culprits on this crime. Ignoring the true is only going to take us to the stone age when the 'deck', that keep us alive over this planet collapses.
From now on we will only hear about tens if not hundreds of tornadoes touching down in one single day or night, extreme heat, unstoppable rain, floods everywhere, drought in the other half, unmeasurable amounts of crops will be lost, our food supply will be shortened in extreme, water will be scarce, and then the governments, and the media -and that includes YOU-, will be pointed at, as the ..... misleading forces that will take us all to our own destruction, because the planet will stay, like always have been, but our life support will be gone, when now is the moment to teach everyone that we are overheating the planet with our wasteful costumes.
I drive what you would call an eighteen wheeler -it is a twenty two wheeler to be precise-, and I can see the info from the computer: 2,9 ..2,7....1,8 kilometer per liters. It worries me. It is too much diesel.
I do not quit because I would be replaced with someone who doesn't pay attention to this indicators, someone who may be driving a gas guzzler instead a Honda Civic, someone who would say:"Who cares, I need my money", and will keep the over consumption.
We have to learn that we are destroying the "deck" that keep us living in peace with nature.
I bet you don't have any idea, or maybe don't realize that every time you depress the accelerator, you are increasing the heat that comes into the only 'bubble' we have: The biosphere. At the same time you don't realize that when you depress the brakes, you are turning the vehicle's Kinetic energy into..........yes, Calorific energy, which is what you would call HEAT, the heat that comes from the friction between the brake pads, and the brake rotors/drums. So we accelerate ... we create heat, we apply the brakes.....we create heat.
I bet you didn't know, or never thought about that, so the millions of people driving, driving over sized domestic vehicles.
So, yes, it is US and yes The U.S. too, the ones that started this Oil consumption rampage, and yes, it is climate change, just check Saskatchewan: 50% flooded, 50% on fire -or at least it was-, AND GUESS WHO IS NEXT??
It is matter of time, for us to be under the Weather's Guillotine, our time will come to see our garages, our cars, our homes, and our lives crushed by the weather. It is matter of time, the bomb is ticking, Karma always comes back to bite us.
